Meals for a Week

Do you want to eat healthy, but are not sure of the first step?

Too busy to sit down and make a weekly menu? We’ve done it for you! Below is a sample menu for one person. It includes a week’s worth of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Days can be changed according to your schedule or preferences.

Daily meals can be adjusted based on your calorie needs. To easily determine the number of calories you need, visit www.mypyramid.gov and design a meal plan specifically for you or someone in your family.

Once you know how many calories you need, you can add these to the meals to get the right number of calories each day:

All of the meals are simple to make and when needed, the recipes are included. Most dinners can be made in less than 30 minutes, and the lunches can easily be made at home and brought to work.

The meal plan is designed for one person, but can simply be multiplied for families. Even if your kids eat breakfast or lunch through school programs, the dinners are designed with the whole family in mind.

If your kids bring lunch to school, they can follow the meal plan, or you can use these healthy school lunch ideas.
