VERMONT HEALTH COMMISSIONER TO DISCUSS EIGHT STUDENTS QUARANTINED DUE TO EXPOSURE TO AVIAN FLU
WHAT: Vermont Health Commissioner Sharon Moffatt, RN, MSN and Health Department officials will hold a press conference on Monday, July 24 to provide details regarding the exposure of eight college and university students to avian influenza. The eight students – four at the University of Vermont and four at Southern Vermont College – have been quarantined. Officials will provide an update on the status of the students, the state’s response, and steps Vermonters can take to best protect themselves and their families.
