The Health Department's mission is to protect and promote the health of all Vermonters. We work to improve health equity – an equal chance at health for all people.

If you are new to Vermont from other countries, cultures or languages use our website to find health information and resources – and answer your questions about keeping healthy. If you can't find what you're looking for – contact us

Our Refugee Health Program works with refugees from the time they arrive in Vermont through a community-based system of care. We collaborate with partners to make sure that refugees have the health screenings they need. We help them integrate into the health care system so that their health and wellness needs are met. We provide translated information on important public health and safety topics and Health Department services in a number of languages spoken in Vermont.
