UNNATURAL CAUSES: Is Inequality Making Us Sick?
This four-hour documentary series explores how the social conditions in which we are born, live and work profoundly affect our health and longevity. Unnatural Causes "sounds the alarm" about America's glaring socio-economic and racial inequities in health - and search for root causes.
UNNATURAL CAUSES premiers on PBS beginning Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 10PM and airs over four consecutive Thursdays (check local listings).
Our Mission, Vision and Values
The Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities is charged with development and implementation of Vermont's Strategic Plan to eliminate health disparities in the delivery of health prevention and health care services to Vermonters.
Our Mission
- Reduce and eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities through partnership, education, and advocacy.

- Improve the health status of racial and ethnic populations so they can lead healthier lives.
