Substance Abuse Services
The Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs (ADAP) is primarily responsible for funding and providing substance abuse services in Vermont.
Mental Health Services administers a small amount of funds to provide joint mental health-substance abuse treatment, for approximately 1,500 individuals served through the Adult Outpatient Program who also have problems with substance abuse.
Specialized services for people with both mental illness and substance abuse problems are being developed statewide.
