Instant Atlas Vermont Data Maps
Instant Atlas is a dynamic new report generator that offers an interactive, user-friendly way to view Vermont's health related data.
Simple mouse clicks activate the areas on the map and the data display which matches the selected area. In this way, the user can explore the data values of a selected indicator, spatial distribution (map), statistical attributes, ranking and other data relationships. In the Area Map display, viewing several indicators side by side encourages exploration of common factors between different data.
Using data from our Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (BRFSS), a range health indicators - at the county, hospital service area, and district office levels - can be illustrated in map displays combined with tables, time-series charts, bar charts and scatter plots.

A note about survey data
With any survey data there is invariably a margin of error. When looking at the BRFSS results please keep in mind there should be a margin of at least five percentage points for any area differences to be something other than random variation. When there are few survey interviews available, the difference would be 10 or more percentage points.
