When Mental Health and Substance Use Collide
While we continue our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States is facing an increasing mental health and substance use crisis. Overdoses and deaths of despair are at record highs and the mental health of our adolescents and young adults continues to decline. Research demonstrates that adolescents often turn to substance use (alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, etc.) to cope when it comes to anxiety, depression, paranoia, boredom, weight management, etc. Learn more about co-occurring disorders, their prevalence, and the importance of integrated care. Please join us for this learning community from the Partnership to End Addiction in collaboration with ORN.
