Click to Log-in to RxSentryThe Vermont Prescription Monitoring System helps track the prescribing and dispensing of controlled substances — those drugs most likely to lead to abuse, addiction or patient harm if they are not used properly.

Only licensed health care providers and pharmacists, registered with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, and registered with the VPMS, will have access to information in the database.

Individuals can receive a copy of their own database information.

Professional Licensure Boards may also request data from pursuant to a bona fide specific investigation.

If you are a representative of a professional board that is responsible for the licensure, regulation or discipline of health care providers or dispensers, you may request data from VPMS pursuant to a bona fide specific investigation.

A patient may receive his/her own information from the VPMS relating to a controlled substance prescription.
