We all have questions about immunization.

And it’s good to have ongoing conversations—with
our doctors, with other parents—that center around
facts so parents like you and I can feel comfortable
with our decisions. It really is ok to ask questions
about immunization!

Information and Assistance Near You

Who to call with questions about vaccines and vaccination schedules, storage and handling?  Think Local public health!

Each of the Health Department's 12 District Offices has a public health nurse who serves as a nearby Immunization Designee to answer your questions and provide information and assistance.

The Immunization Designee conducts regular visits to enrolled practices for the purpose of overseeing vaccine storage and handling compliance and to foster efforts to improve community immunity to vaccine preventable diseases.   The designee can access a wealth of current immunization information and welcomes questions from members of the public, schools, child care providers and health care providers.

Contact your local immunization designee, or visit your district office's website for more information and a listing of communities served.
