Vermont Hospital Utilization Reports (VHUR)
Data from the Vermont Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set (VUHDDS) are presented in two basic ways: hospital-based and hospital service area (HSA) analyses. Hospital-based analyses compare data by hospital and include all patients who received services from each hospital, regardless of whether they reside in Vermont or in another state. HSA analyses are used to compare data for residents of 13 geographic regions of Vermont who were provided inpatient services in any Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, or Massachusetts hospital.
Below are the PDF versions of the Vermont Hospitals Report for 2010 through 2014. These reports are based only on discharge data from Vermont hospitals. Because data for Vermont residents using hospitals in bordering states were not available at the time of production of these reports, it is not possible to provide accurate population-based rates for Vermont residents in these reports. Analyses by hospital service area are not available for 2010 forward at this time.
See the ‘Hospital Reports – Archived’ section for the complete PDF versions of the 2004 through 2009 Vermont Hospital Utilization Reports. These reports provide extensive analyses by hospital service area. The “Highlights” section in the 2006 - 2009 reports is an abbreviated version of what was known as the Monograph Companion through 2005.
