School Based Substance Abuse Services
The purpose of the School Based Substance Abuse Services (SBSAS) Grant is to provide and enhance substance abuse prevention and early intervention services in Vermont schools, leading to reductions in students' alcohol and other drug use.
Required activities:
- Support of coordinated school health initiatives
- Screening and referral to substance abuse and mental health services
Allowable activities:

Support of classroom health curricula

Advising and training of youth empowerment groups

Delivery of parent information and educational programs

Delivery of teacher and support staff training

Delivery of educational support groups
