The Vermont Immunization Advisory Council brings together experts in medicine, epidemiology, policy and education to advise the Health Department on immunization issues. 

The Council reviews Vermont's immunization schedule for schools and child care programs and advises the Commissioner of Health about recommended immunizations.

The Council’s role is established in Vermont law and was expanded through Act 76 (2026).

Council Members

The Council includes members appointed by the Governor and representatives from state government who serve as part of their official roles or through a designee. The Commissioner of Health may also appoint additional members as needed.
