From Evidence to Practice: Contingency Management for the Treatment of Stimulant and Other Substance Use Disorders
Please join us on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET for a UVM CORA Community Rounds Workshop Series panel session, “From Evidence to Practice: Contingency Management for the Treatment of Stimulant and Other Substance Use Disorders.” Our speakers are Stephen T. Higgins, PhD, Director of UVM’s Vermont Center on Behavior and Health (VCBH) and Tyler G. Erath, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and VCBH.
This presentation will discuss evidence to support the effectiveness of contingency management (CM) as a treatment for stimulant use disorder and other substance use disorders (SUDs), review the current landscape of CM implementation in the United States, describe current challenges to using CM including in rural healthcare settings, and review the CM certificate course now available through VCBH and UVM’s Professional and Continuing Education.
