The foundation for these standards in the underlying principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and distributive justice will be examined. The format will include didactic presentation, group discussion and activities. Examples will be drawn from real-life cases to illustrate situations that pose risk and ethical dilemmas for those working in the field of substance use disorder prevention, intervention and treatment.
