A Primer on the Revised ASAM Criteria for Pregnant and Parenting Adolescents with Substance Use Disorders
The New England ATTC, in partnership with the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies, is hosting this universal TA webinar titled, "A Primer on the Revised ASAM Criteria for Pregnant and Parenting Adolescents with Substance Use Disorders" with subject matter expert Lauren Micalizzi, PhD on May 5, 2026 from 1-2PM EST. This training explores the major revisions introduced in the ASAM Criteria 4th Edition, focusing specifically on the unique developmental and clinical needs of pregnant and parenting adolescents.
Participants will identify key strategies for treating substance use in this population while evaluating the system-level implications of these updated standards on care delivery. By the end of the session, attendees will have a practical framework for implementing these changes to improve outcomes for young families within the shifting landscape of behavioral health.
