Three Part Series - How Substance Misuse Prevention Practitioners can address Problem Gambling - A Community of Practice

This three-session community of practice equips prevention professionals with the knowledge and tools to understand and address problem gambling within a public health and prevention framework. Using a Learn–Apply–Sustain progression, participants will build foundational knowledge of problem gambling, explore how to apply the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) to gambling, and identify ways to engage partners and communities in coordinated prevention efforts.

Through interactive discussions, environmental scanning, and community mapping, participants will strengthen their ability to recognize problem gambling, and take action within their existing coalition work. The series concludes with next steps and optional pathways for deeper systems-level planning and workforce development.
