Understanding Emerging Evidence on Cannabis Use and Cannabis use Disorder (CUD) among Perinatal Populations: What Clinicians Need to Know - Session 3

The New England ATTC, in partnership with the Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies at Brown University, are hosting the final session of a three-part, universal TA webinar series titled, "Understanding Emerging Evidence on Cannabis Use and Cannabis use Disorder (CUD) among Perinatal Populations: What Clinicians Need to Know" with subject matter experts Rachel Gunn, PhD and Lauren Micalizzi, PhD.

Session 3 of this series, "From Awareness to Action: Understanding Your Role” will help participants understand their responsibilities and opportunities when working with pregnant individuals who use cannabis. The session will cover state-specific mandated reporting requirements, common patient responses to disclosure, and the potential clinical and legal consequences of cannabis use during pregnancy. It will also introduce emerging research on interventions designed to support patients in reducing or stopping cannabis use during the perinatal period.
