Medications to Address Stimulants and Co-Occurring Alcohol/Opioid Use Disorders

This training will review the evidence for using FDA-approved medications for the treatment of opioid and alcohol use disorders in people who also use stimulants. The session will discuss the importance of addressing co-occurring use disorders for patients with significant polysubstance use.

Following this training, participants will have the knowledge to:

  • Name 3 FDA approved medications that may be used to treat co-occurring alcohol use disorder for people with stimulant use disorder (StUD).
  • Name 3 FDA approved medications that may be used to treat co-occurring opioid use disorder for people with StUD.
