Pregnancy and Parenting Families with Opioid Use Disorder Four Part Series
Join the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) as we collaborate with Anne Arundel County Department of Health to deliver a four-part series on pregnancy and parenting families with opioid use disorder.
This series will explore evidence-based treatment options for pregnant women with opioid use disorder and best practices for family-centered care. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved when the brain becomes an addicted brain and how these brain changes influence the often-confusing outward behaviors common when a substance use disorder is present. Participants will have the opportunity to gain an appreciation for the factors that contribute to vulnerability for addiction as well as challenges faced by families who are impacted by substance use disorder concurrent with pregnancy and parenting.
