"Stimulants: What Are They and Who Uses Them?"

This webinar will increase awareness of the prevalence and increase of stimulant use in the United States. As polysubstance use, or the use of more than one substance, is common among people who use drugs, an understanding of the risks involving stimulants is important in creating treatment approaches. Recognizing the risks associated with stimulant and polysubstance use will help healthcare providers assist those seeking recovery and prevent fatal consequences.

• Identify current patterns and trends in stimulant use
• Identify short-term and long-term physical and psychological effects of stimulant use
• Develop familiarity with behavioral treatment interventions and recovery approaches for stimulant use disorder
