Emerging Research and Updated EBP Strategies in SUD
This 90-minute training provides a high-level synthesis of emerging research and updated evidence-based practices (EBPs) in substance use disorders, highlighting what has meaningfully changed in the science over the past several years.
Drawing on current findings related to medications for opiate use disorder (MOUD), stimulant use disorder, concurrent use of multiple substances, overdose prevention, benzodiazepine safety, and integrated pain and SUD care, this training clarifies how best practices are being refined in response to a rapidly evolving substance landscape. Designed for a national audience, this training moves beyond review to examine the clinical and practice implications of these updates.
Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how contemporary evidence is reshaping effective SUD care and why outcomes depend not only on what EBPs are used, but how they are delivered and sustained.
For trainings that indicate Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available, contact your licensing or certification organization to verify that the credits will count toward the continuing education requirements.
