Trauma-Informed Screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
Trauma can alter an individual's emotional regulation, diminish coping skills, and further impact motivation to engage in treatment. Screening for Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) can be helpful for providers to understand client behavior, tailor interventions, and create environments conducive to client engagement.
This interactive learning opportunity will review how trauma-informed principles help create a trauma-safe space essential to screening for ACEs, review screening scores and interpretations, and empower healing and/or refer for specialty care.
For trainings that indicate Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available, contact the organizer and/or the Vermont Office of Professional Regulation to verify that the credits will count toward the continuing education requirements of your licensure or certification.
