Addressing Stigma at the Individual, Provider, and Community Levels
Join UVM Center on Rural Addiction for the community rounds. The speaker is Dr. Lisham Ashrafioun, PhD, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester, co-PI of the UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence, and a Research Investigator at the VA Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention at the VA Finger Lakes Healthcare System. This presentation will provide an overview of projects at the Rural Center of Excellence on SUD Prevention at the University of Rochester. These projects aim to address substance use disorder stigma at various levels (i.e., self, provider, community) in rural communities.
