EMS Advisory Committee
The role of the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee is to advise the Commissioner of Health and the State Legislature on matters relating to the delivery of emergency medical services (EMS) in Vermont. The committee is statutorily required to develop and maintain a five year statewide plan for the coordinated delivery of emergency medical services in the state.
The committee is comprised of representatives from EMS districts, professional organizations, local government, the public, and the Health Department (18 V.S.A. § 909).
Meetings
EMS Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month and are scheduled from 1 to 3 PM.

The Vermont EMS system is organized into 13 EMS Districts that are based generally on hospital catchment areas. Every district has a Chair, Training Coordinator and Medical Advisor selected by a District Board comprised of representatives from the district's member ambulance and first responder agencies.
