Radon

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes for radon in air. The EPA also recommends testing in schools. See more information on radon and radon testing.

Bacteria in Water

We test environmental water samples from recreational swimming locations or water used for irrigation purposes for the presence of E. coli. The results of this test determine the suitability of the water for safe swimming or irrigation.

We also test environmental water samples for the presence of Legionella pneumophila. Outbreaks of legionellosis have occurred after people have breathed mists from a contaminated water source such as an air conditioning cooling tower, whirlpool spa or shower.

See more information on both E. coli and Legionella along with testing information.
