Boots on the Ground: Reducing Racial Disparities in Access to Opioid Use Disorder Services

The Opioid Response Network (ORN) is co-sponsoring an upcoming conference from the Twin Cities Recovery Project on community-based programming to reduce stigma and racial disparities in access to substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction and recovery services. Boots on the Ground will, through a Black Community lens, explore the power of innovative approaches and ways in which community-driven programming can effectively address the disparities in treating substance use disorders faced by African Americans. The conference will highlight programs from across the country and feature front-line peer and professional services, scientists specializing in recovery and policy makers. If you have been wondering how to catalyze change in your community, here is your opportunity to learn.
