Facilitating Conversations on Race/Bias (Beyond Cultural Competence Series)
How do we get our teams or staff to start talking about who they are and how they impact clients? How do our experiences impact how we show up and how we think? In this workshop we reflect on what triggers us in conversations on race and identity. We work through those issues to facilitate spaces that allow for connection, joy and meaning.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to identify their triggers in conversations of race and bias
- Participants will be able to practice strategies to create and hold space around difficult conversations
- Participants will be able to demonstrate practices that allow for tension to build and decrease
